CHRIST DIED 4 YOU

CHRIST DIED 4 YOU

If Christ has saved you, He can use you to tell someone else. Here is a simple guide to help you witness with confidence.

Share the Gospel

How to Witness

A simple guide to help you share the Gospel of Jesus Christ clearly, lovingly, and confidently.

The Gospel is too good to keep to yourself

If Christ has saved you, He can use you to tell someone else. You do not have to be a preacher to be a witness. You simply need to be willing.

1. Prepare Your Heart

Pray for boldness. Ask God to open a door and lead you to the right person. Remember, you are not saving anyone—God does the saving.

2. Start a Conversation

Be kind and natural. You do not need a perfect opening. A simple question or a Gospel tract can open the door.

3. Provoke Thought

Ask a question that helps reveal what the person is trusting in:

“If you were to die today and God asked you, ‘Why should I let you into Heaven?’ — what would you say?”

This helps uncover whether they are trusting in good works, religion, themselves, or Christ alone.

4. Explain the Problem — Sin

Show them from the Bible that all have sinned and that sin has a consequence.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

— Romans 3:23

“…whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

— Revelation 20:14–15

5. Share God’s Provision

Explain that God made a way through Jesus Christ.

“…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

— Romans 6:23

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

— 2 Corinthians 5:21

6. Explain How to Be Saved

Make it clear that salvation is by grace through faith, not by works.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith... not of works...”

— Ephesians 2:8–9

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”

— Acts 16:31

7. Invite Them to Respond

Ask them plainly if they would like to trust Jesus Christ as their Saviour today.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

— Romans 10:13

8. Encourage Their Next Steps

If they trust Christ, encourage them to:

  • Read the Bible daily
  • Pray regularly
  • Attend a Bible-believing church
  • Follow the Lord in believer’s baptism
  • Tell others what Christ has done for them

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life...”

— John 5:24

Final Encouragement

You do not have to know everything to be a witness. Be prayerful. Be loving. Be faithful. Your job is to share the Gospel. God’s job is to save the soul.
